the #gau Chi Fan gaol aite for which the Government
had already completed the foundations at a cost of
some 2 lucs. Mr. Dawson's lay out had included this
site in the ground set apart for the "oyal Air
Force and Dr. Dawson was surprised to hear that the
area concerned was not definitely included in the
ground available for Toyal Air Force development
without payment.
le stated that the Air Finistry
was of the opinion that the whole of he lot
including the gaol site was all equally at disposal.
Ɛn examination of old plans and despatches showed
that the gaol site had throughout been regarded by this
Government as a separate lot distinct from the Kai Tak Aerodrome ares towards the cost of which His še jesty's
Government had contributed £100,000. The question
of whether payment should be requested for this area
was left over for consideration. It was decided to
make out the details of the complete cost to the
Colony of Kai Tak, entering the expenditure connected
with the mol site as a special item, and to refer the
whole question home in connection with the further
expenïiture necessitated by Ar. Dawson's proposals.

If these suggestions were entertained it
would be necessary to develop the road round the north
of the additional area but it was understood that the
cost of this road was already included in the
estimated total of $250,000.
Mr. Dawson's report (6) in 1510/26 C. on
Territory Aerodrome was also considered.
